GNU/Linux Command – STAT

stat — Show the File/File-System status.

Summary:

stat shows the detailed and formatted information about the file or file-system status, like Size, Blocks, Time Access/Modify/Change etc…

Examples:
$ stat myfile -- Show the status of myfile. $ stat -f myfile -- Show the status of the File System, where this file is resided. $ stat -t myfile -- Show the status in plain/terse form. $ stat -c "%A %U %G %s %Y %n" * -- Custom format (ls like) output.
