GNU/Linux Command – LPQ

lpq — Show Printer Queue status
 
Summary:
 
lpq shows the current print queue status on the named printer. Jobs queued on the default destination will be shown if no printer/class is specified on the command-line.
 
Example:
$ lpq -- Show the default printer Queue status.  $ lpq -P prn2 -- Show the printer PRN2 status.  $ lpq -a -- Show all printers status.  $ lpq -l -- Show in long format.  $ lpq +5 -- Show the status of the default printer status for every 5 Sec interval, until queue become empty.
