ILUGC Members (Myself, Raman and Thyagu) organized two 5 day FOSS Faculty Development Program in Tamilnadu in association with FOSSEE Group of IIT-Bombay and NRC-FOSS of Anna Univ for the Engineering college lectures. This program covered the FOSS Elective I syllabus.
FDP @ JEC:
First FDP was conducted from Mon Nov 23rd to Fri Nov 27th at Jaya Engineering College, Chennai. syllabus. Around 50 members registered and only 30 members are turned-up for this program. In that, around 10 members are interested to learn new thing like GNU/Linux. It is very good, if 3 out of this 10 decided offer FOSS Elective I subject to the students.
FDP @ TCE:
Second FDP was conducted from Mon Nov 30th to Fri Dec 4th at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. Around 40 members registered and only 15 members are turned-up for this program. In this group, only few was interested to learn new stuff. But I don’t think, any of them will offer this paper in the future.
